Ubuntu is amazing it's the start point of most people coming from other systems, it's very intuitive and easy to use but always there is 2 main problems ( system crash notifications without knowing the reason and the use of snaps )

I like Ubuntu but its move towards Snap is what doesn't convince me, I know that it can be uninstalled and configured so that it is not reinstalled but it is something that does not convince me. At least I knew Fedora, Flatpak convinced me much more than Snap

Thanks for the introduction. I always have a good feeling about ubuntu though I did not work with it as much as I would have liked to. It is a very userfriendly Linux distro and has a helpful and friendly community. I had issues with the special hardware (like the Bluetooth short keyboard from Apple) I used but could solve all problems. Greetings

Thanks for giving us a preview before we make decisions. I like that it has 10 yrs support, Kernal 6.8 (so recent hardware will work, I have a 7800x3d cpu and 7800xt gpu), Gnome 46 (KDE Plasma 6 is unsecure I read). I might try it out once it is released officially.

As a fifty year old non-tech bloke I got fed up with Microsoft trying to own my life and I switched to was 14.04 and here we are, ten years later and I would never go back. I am waiting another month and I will do the upgrade, and I am looking forward to more of the same thing, fast and stable OS. The switch to Ubuntu gave me the courage to change the OS on my phone and remove Google from it.
I only do Google stuff on my PC now.

I already have Ubuntu Linux set up with, I think, 22.04.4. Am I going to have to set it up again through the installer? Or are all my current settings going to remain in place, apart from what the new update changes? I just set up Linux recently, so I’m still brand new to it and trying to understand it. I’m guessing I update by typing “sudo apt update”?

Thanks for the video.. looking forward to the 24.04 release.. unfortunately i had some problems using the flutter installer when it came to disk setup but hopefully they will be fixed in the stable release

Thanks, but I will be upgrading from Kubuntu 22.04 to Kubuntu 24.04 when it is released (in late April ?) . I would thus be interested in a video that focuses on the Kubuntu differences perhaps as a suppliment to this video!

bro how do i dualboot this os on my old laptop which is running w11 on mbr disk partitioning. I tried to dualboot other os like zorin, deepin etc but none of them installed correctly.
