3 Lenses I REGRET not buying SOONER! Fujicrons. These small standard f2 prime lenses have changed the way I look at Fujifilm equipment.Do I regret not buying these lenses sooner, you bet! Initially I thought they were kind of cheap looking but decided to buy the Fuji 23 f2 first. It reminded me of my Leica 35 Summicron which i was hoping to emulate to some extent. I was blown away by what I could do with this lens. Paired with the Fuji X-T30 its a wonderful small package and i love it. So I began to think about how the Fuji 35 f2 would be. It's about the same size and exactly the same build quality. So I was able to find one used for a great price and again I was blown away by the quality of the lens. Small, light, and dam sharp even wide open!. So you can guess what I started thinking next. Well if the Fuji 23 f2 and Fuji 35 f2 are that nice I bet the Fuji 50 f2 is great too. I was not wrong as I again found a great used copy.

Fuji makes fine lenses. The first three I purchased for my Fuji X body were (listed in order of purchase):
23mm f/1.4
56mm f/1.2
16mm f/1.4

35mm f2 was my favourite Fujifilm lens. When I travel, I used to have just 16-80 f4 and 35mm f2. And 35mm f2 was my the most used lens when I was shooting just for myself or went outside to take some pictures. Great little lens!

Would love to see what you think of the little 27mm lens. Love your voiceover narration, it's very soothing

I own all three of the 'Fujicrons' along with an XT3. Honestly, this is all I need. Perfect balance of size, price, performance.

I came to Fujifilm from full frame Nikon DSLRs, but to make the transition I had to know that I was not compromising quality.

The 35mm f/2 Fujicron was the lens that on my first outing let me know that I could leave my bulky, heavy Nikon at home and just use my (then) X-T2 with the tiny f/2 lens and come back with first class images.

Today, I own all the Fujicrons plus their faster equivalent lenses which gives me options when the light is low or I need selective focus that only an f/one-point-something aperture can give on APS-C, but a person could be very productive with only those tiny Fujicrons.

I purchased a used XT20 with a 23 f2 and fell in love with Fuji. I've since upgraded to an XT4 and a few other lenses but the 23mm just feels so right that it pretty stays on my camera.

I have anXT100V(23mm) and XT5 with a 14 f2.8 and 50 mm f2.0 as my main "Street Kit" and I'm very happy with that combo. I occasionally leave the XT100V and the 14mm and take the XT 5 with the 50 mm and the 10-24mm, also a great kit.

I haven't used the last two but the 23F2 is a superb lens. Cracking shots off all 3 Kirk.

Got the 23 f2 and 16 f2.8 are very good lenses, also have the 35 1.4 so have not gone for the 35 f2. Been thinking of getting the 50 for a while. Love your videos

I have all three of those ‘fujichrons’ in my growing collection of Fuji glass...just added the 30mm Macro over a month ago. I never tire if these lenses, all very well used and have more than paid for themselves over the years.

Love the 23, 35 & 50 f/2 lenses. Lightweight, affordable, & they produce excellent quality images. The 50mm f/2 is my favourite. Fuji offers numerous choices in their well rounded lens lineup. Love your channel, Kirk.😊

Wow, those lenses are amazing value for the quality they offer. I'm curious, what f/stop is the photo of the sticks/rocks at 6:58 ? Love your easy-going style of presentation and your images remind me to "keep it simple."

With those lenses and slotted hoods keep an eye out for the upcoming X-Pro 4!

Hopefully fuji will release 23f2 v2 soon, I'll definitely add that to my collection.

I sold my 50mm f/2 for the Sigma 56mm f/1.4. I regret it and months later I bought it again. That lens holds a special place because it was my first Fuji prime and the size, build and image quality are so good. The 50mm has incredible micro contrast and works very well with the macro rings!

Good review and images. I love he 'Crons' and include within the definition the 16/f2.8. I have that lens and the 23/f2 and the 50/2. I only want to carry three lenses with my XE4 so reckon I can crop images taken with the 23/f2 if I need to, but there are times I want to go wider than 23, hence the 16. These three lenses serve me well for city breaks, and we have our next city visit booked to Vienna (Christmas markets in Dec 23) and I will take these three. Thanks.

Really informative video Kurt. I have the 23/2 and love it. It is such a sharp little lens at one of my favourite focal lengths. The other 2 are looking like making on my to buy list. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Cheers, Sean.

I have all these three lens. But the most time I use 18mm F2.8. It is pancake lens which is just a slice bigger than 27mm/F2.8.

I do think the 23, 35, and 50mm f/2 are "sleeper" lenses that many people would enjoy! They work great on my XPro3 due to their small size. I also like using them on my XH-1. I may be repeating myself from other postings, but recently the XPro3 and the 23mm f/2 made for a great combo as I toured Minneapolis. In fact a friendly Canon user want to know what the heck I was shooting with! ;)
