How to calculate the magnitude of a 3D vector?

The magnitude of a 3D vector can be calculated by using the formula
|V| = sqrt(x² + y² + c²) where x, y, z are the components of the vector V.

Graphically the above formula can be proven by plotting a 3D vector on a x, y, z coordinate system and using the Pythagorean theorem and some geometry to calculate the magnitude of the vector.
