This 2017 MacBook Air has a broken screen and I'm going to repair it. Even though this laptop is a few years old, these older MacBook's are generally easy to repair and this one is no exception. It's rare to see outdated tech like this 5th gen i7 in a computer in 2023, but I actually see these models all the time, usually for broken screens, battery replacement's, or SSD upgrades. For people who's techonology doesn't require much power and don't want to buy a pc , these older MacBook's are a decent deal since you can find them used on eBay for pretty cheap.

As cool as Apple silicon is, these older MacBook Airs have better connectivity (USB-A and SD card slot) and arguably looks better (I like the wedge design) than the new model

I actually bought a retina one for my MacBook Pro 2015. Yeah $150, an imperfect one with a few scratches, which I don’t care cuz my MacBook Pro is old anyway. It works great tho
