There is one book above all others this year that you’ve recommended to me most, along with two of my IRL friends recommending to me on the same day. So in this video, I decided to read it and see if your recommendation was spot on… or not! #readingvlog #bookrecommendations #booktube

Book Mentioned…

What a gorgeous garden, and cats, and bath-husband. Loved seeing the book post!

These are very relaxing to watch. Its encouraged me to actually do some reading today rather than just think about it.

Bumped this up my library holds list based on your recommendation! I, too, have been seeing it recommended everywhere. Loved the format of this video — fun to hear what you thought throughout the process.

Loved everything about this Vlog - going to read the book for sure. But the winner for me was your beautiful garden and that spider weaving her web! Thank you for sharing x

Yes, more of these please! Lessons in Chemistry was a 4 star read for me. I was surprised by the dark bits and I thought it was a far more complicated story than the blurbs would suggest but in the end that she didn’t quite pull it off. Still I will definitely read more by her. Have you seen the US cover? It’s quite different. Also Chris cracks me up, Wales is stunning and those black and white asides are a treat.

I absolutely ADORED this book. The title put me off for ages, but I heard so many good things about it I caved. So glad I did. Such an emotional rollercoaster. The perfect balance of light and dark.

Looks lovely in your garden. I loved Doris Day too and somewhere I have a copy of the book upon which Please Don't Eat the Daisies was based. Oh please, ketchup is the perfect condiment, especially when mixed with pepper sauce. Best fish and chips I ever had in my life was at Margaret River, Australia. Now I want fish and chips too. I enjoyed this video, may I have some more please.

I completely get what you mean about the cover. I much prefer the cover of the one you got sent. I can't wait to read this.

Sophie Turner totally stole the show for me too. I always love Maya Hawke as well.

That meal looked amazing!

Love “spending time” with you. Definitely time we’ll spent ❤

I received a box from Readings today, too, including This Devastating Fever. It does sound intriguing. It was a very happy day.

Really enjoyed this and I also enjoyed the book even though it's not anything like my usual choice. I totally agree about talking animals in fiction - really dislike ti normally but that dog was actually like a visiting spirit of something. I loved seeing Park Gate it brings back so many memories seeing your little films of Merseyside and The Wirral. Thanks for this.

I am so confused by the love for this one, I thought it was so bad I gave up about 3/4 and skimmed the end. Love that you were watching rhobh though 😂 and love these vlogs

Random fact for you...I thought my Mum invented eggy bread when I was a child. I only ever had savoury with ketchup and noone else I knew had it when I was growing up! Try it with mushrooms, red onion and melted cheese between 2 slices...game changer! Eggy bread with ketchup is elite.

You know when you get to the part in the book that explains the dust jacket? Did you get there? What or who is she holding? I get the cover. Also, please share all your Karma, fish & chips and ice cream. Yummy! The eggy bread is screamin' for some maple syrup. 😉 Seriously though, I do enjoy all your book recs but I'm so in love with your vlogs! ❤️❤️❤️ And Chris in the bath...😁

The cover put me off as well as I thought it would be too contemporary romance-y but very intrigued now :)
