Honestly tetration just exists to portray large numbers. It is usually useless, and anything beyond tetration (pentation, hexation, etc.) will never really be needed.

Tetration is awesome, anything is a skill so i suppose you could learn to do fast tetrations, unsure what the use of this would be but it seems neat

This doesn’t explain why though, these merely answers what tetration is. To answer why you have to give an example of in what situations is Tetration used that results more practical than exponentiation or other way of writing a number. Is it used in chemistry? Biology? Physics? And when. Many may say that is not why it exists, that is when it is used. My response would be, yes, but if it is not useful in any practical situation then why was it necessary to come up with it to represent bigger numbers? That is the question to answer.
