In this video we'll take a look at thermal radiation, one of the three modes of heat transfer along with conduction and convection. We'll start by covering electromagnetic waves, the Stefan-Boltzmann law, black bodies and emissive power. We'll then talk about emissivity, absorptivity, transmissivity and reflectivity, as well as view factors, all key concepts for being able to calcualate the radiative heat transfer between surfaces.
