Honestly I don’t get this just drop your legs to a lunge position then liver or stomache or uppercut. Also wait for a southpaw to throw a straight and slip it or slip the hook. Or direct the punch away with a clashing punch or using your glove but idk maybe the rules don’t work for this. That’s how I would do it

Theres lots of problems with like this whole video philly shell workes fine against and for southpaws some things are flipped or have different solutions to certain strikes and Floyd used a high guard against pac man in that clip because hes not as used to fighting aggressive high level southpaws many was the first southpaw pressure fighter with the skill he had had way less to do with the flaws of the philly shell and more the pros of high guard

If southpaw is just leading with the otherside couldn't you just do the normal philly shell but in reverse and use it the same way?

You have to make some changes against a south paw...but there are plenty of things you can do out of the philly vs a south paw. This information is just not accurate.
