It's actually not the Basilisk, it's the squid glitching through the dorm.

It would’ve been awesome if they actually added the basilisk as an Easter egg in the game. You can enter the girls toilets with the sink entrance to the chamber of secrets and just imagine if on very rare occasions you could hear it slithering or even see a pair of eyes appear by the sink.

It's a giant squid that crosses the wall and nothing else, but it's true in this game the Basilisk is missing, we could face it like one of the game bosses, too bad.

It’s the tentacle of the Giant Squid which is clipping through the wall and glass. I suppose the tentacle is used in the game to create the silhouette through the glass above, so it feels like something big is swimming above.

People who claim that it’s the Basilisk are lying and completely oblivious to FACT. The only known Parsulmouth at school during this time is Ominous Gaunt, who wants nothing to do with the dark arts or harming others. If you say it’s some other Parsulmouth, then why haven’t we heard anything about there being any attacks? The first ever opening happened in the 1941 - 1942 school year, while the second and last opening happen in 1992 - 1993 (Harry’s second year).

And to cap it all off, WHY is the Basilisk going through the Slytherin Dormitories? It travels around via the pipes in the walls! Plus, there’s a 1 in a thousand chance that a Muggleborn is in Slytherin House. So why is it in the Slytherin Common Room in the first place?

Case in point, this is a Squid tentacle clipping through the walls from a glitch. That’s why it’s so rare! Because it’s a GLITCH.
