Veeeery excited to participate this year and for your videos, Katie! I'd love a deep dive in Mr. Willoughby I think he's very complex character and quite something to think about every time I finished reading Sense and Sensibility. It's curious to me that he and Henry Crawford seems like the only male "antagonists" that truly regret their actions...

Absolutely amazing that Austen's works can fascinate and enthrall so many people worldwide after two centuries.I am in my late seventies got hooked on her works in university more than half a century ago . I often think / fantasize that if I could as Jane one question, what would that question be . That question has changed many times over the last five decades.

Ooooh, I'm so freaking excited for Jane Austen July! It's my first year participating, but I'd already been planning a sort of readathon of all of Austen's works roughly in the order they were written in. I figured I could start that this month and continue on to next month as part of Jane Austen July. I'm so excited for the new Persuasion adaptation. Your video ideas all sound great! I'm going to have to hunt down that Mr. Collins (and Caroline's too!) video when I do my latest reread of Pride and Prejudice. I can't wait!

Thank you for the news about the new adaption of "Persuasion, " I had not heard about it, until now--I am so looking forward to seeing it, Anne Elliot is one my most favorite Jane Austen heroines! Its time to start planning a reading list for July! :D

Earlier this month I was thinking about J.A.J approaching and I wasn't sure if I was going to join this year, I've been in a bad slump since last December and didn't want to confine myself to the limits of a set TBR because my mood has been wildly unpredictable to say the least. But listening to you talk about Jane with your usual infectious enthusiasm made me realize how much I've missed her world and her books, especially P&P!! I think I'll be joining both readalongs (both rereads for me), but I'm still not sure whether to pick up the physical or the audio copy of P&P 🤔 I'm also really excited to read Elegant Etiquette in the 19th Century! I got it a few months ago thanks to your recommendation :D

Getting excited--so glad July is almost here! I would be interested in your thoughts comparing the 3 Ward sisters of Mansfield Park: Lady Bertram, Mrs Price and Mrs Norris. Or even just Mrs Norris would be great fun.

I'm looking forward to this every year! I think I'll actually reread What Matters in Jane Austen this July, I remember being blown away by it but it's been some years since I read it.

I re-read Pride and Prejudice last month and I'm currently reading The Murder of Mr. Wickham, which is a murder mystery with all the leading characters from Jane Austen's novels. I plan to re-read Persuasion next month.

I think I will read Sense and Sensibility for the first time, Jane in Love by Rachel Givney, and Mr. Darcy Presents his Bride by Helen Halstead- all on my physical TBR. I'm excited!
