I have decided to participate in Jane Austen July this year for the first time. I never had enough reading material and I only have one adaptation and that's the 2005 P&P.

All the good books! It's probably a good thing in the long run that many of these are not available through our library system. I may be. On overload otherwis! But I was able to order the P&P graphic novel. And earlier today I ordered a book called A Most Clever Girl: How Jane Austen Discovered Her Voice by Jasmine Stirling. I'm not sure if the age recommendation, but I came across Ordinary Extraordinary Jane Austen for 4-6 year olds. Also not available at our library.) How cool is that?!

my TBR: Jane Austen: A Life In Small Things by Paula Byrne, Persuasion by Jane Austen, Letters of Jane Austen, Unmarrgeable by Soniah Kamal, Maria, or The Wrongs of Woman, a novel by Mary Wollstonecraft (Mary Shelley's mother and author of Vindication of The Rights of Woman.) Movies: New Persuasion and Bride and Prejudice. Sound good?

I began the month with Northanger Abbey, and I'm loving it. I just finished Mysteries of Udolpho last month, and it's been really fun to immediately follow up with Northanger Abbey. I'm also planning to do a special read for Pride & Prejudice. I'm going to be reading Babara Heller's edition with the authentically handwritten and folded letters from the book. I'm beyond excited about it.

At Home with Jane Austen looks so great to reference as you read aboit these locations in her books, I'll have to see if I can get a copy. The Northanger Abbey graphic novel looks really good too.

I love the John Mullan book and his Youtube videos. I'm planning to read SS this year, so I had to acquire The Year In Between! It's long, so I hope I can finish it. I've added Jane Austen's Genius Guide to Life by Haley Stewart to my wish list. It sounds so interesting and uplifting. Thanks for hooking me up with some new and intriguing JA books. Happy reading!

You havebso many gorgeous things lined up. The P&P deep dive is a glorious plan. I enjoy John Mullan's style. It's a good mix of erudition and enthusiasm. I plan to reread Northanger Abbey this year.

I’ve been saying the same thing on every Jane Austen July video but again, I’M SO EXCITED! I’ll be reading Emma for the first time (the last I have to read of the main novels) and couldn’t be more excited. I’m also looking forward to the group reads!
