Stick with your principles! In 2061 (38 years from now), when you retire as a fighter pilot / top gun instructor (like Maverick), you can watch them movies in 80K remastered-resolution. When you hear, for the first time, “I’ve gots da needs…da needs for speeds!”, it will all make sense.👍

As a retired navy helo aircrewman I can say those movies made me grin from ear to ear and chuckle a bit. For you as a fighter pilot, those movies will be rip roaring comedies; you’ll be laughing your MFAO. Don’t deny yourself the satisfaction of a good cry from extreme laughter.

Well you might be a “disappointment” to the other drivers but to the guys on the ground whose asses those who came before you saved? (one happens to be typing this now), you’ll always be a hero. I never met them, never got to shake their hand, never got to thank them. Kinda crazy knowing they’re the reason i get to kiss my kids goodnight.
