If you’re here because you’re trying to be better just so you can do even more for others you’re my spirit animal.

I find this so interesting because I think my early childhood taught me coping mechanisms that are now a huge part of who I am and my HFA. That burnout is real....

I hid my anxiety for a lot of years, being the classic overachiever and the person who could take care of everything and everyone. In my 50s, I became mentally exhausted and couldn't do it anymore. People around me had clearly been enabled and none of them could take on what I had been taking care of all those years. If you're young with HFA, please find a way to get help before you get to the point I did.

Just found out I have HFA. I am happy there is an actual definition to what I have and I’m not actually crazy. I overwork myself & I want to keep going but my body can’t. The perfectionism part hits hard too. Saying yes to everyone. They call me a hard worker but really I don’t know how to take care of myself.

I really think my husband has this. He has all the symptoms you mentioned. Great video. Helped me a ton! Need to plan my next step.

Thank you for explaining high functioning anxiety. I have been experiencing this form of anxiety for several years. The episodes come on suddenly and don't have any warning. But I have learned to identify some warning signs and prepare myself to handle it when it hits. It's particularly distressing especially when there's no reason for the episode. This programme is extremely helpful because I only learned that there is something called high functioning anxiety.❤

Struggling to say no, has made my circle of friends very large to an extent I can't maintain friendships anymore. Ended up isolating and avoiding most of them instead of setting boundaries.

Mushrooms containing psilocybin saved my life. The aided my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quit illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.

Wow. I learn new things every day. Would having a narcissist mother have anything to do with this?

Funny …my high functioning anxiety makes me so un relatable that I have to keep my routine a secret because I don’t want to make people to feel bad in comparison. Im a vegan that practices meditation in the morning while I practice daily intermittent fasting with many hobbies and gym enthusiast.

Wonderful video. I was diagnosed with GAD 2 years ago. Definitely high functioning, work, take care of my childhood, keep up the house. Causes me horrible insomnia! My Dr wants me to try Buspar, she says its very safe. The Gad is definitely interfering with my life especially sleep. Any thoughts on Buspar? Not seeking medical advice
Thank you
God Bless
