Totally missed step 5. I attempted to remove my HOT dogs with my fingers. It was so hot I reflexively shook it away, causing the pan to spill water on my Roomba robot vacuum. The Roomba shorted out and showered my curtains with sparks. The curtains went up like...curtains, with huge flames. I pulled the fire alarm in my apartment hallway and then ran down to apt 102 and assisted little ole Miss Jenkins out of her apartment before the flames consumed her apartment as well. Let me tell you, it is not easy helping an 87-year-old school teacher down an outside hallway covered in green plastic astroturf with her walker while flames are lapping at your heels. So, lessoned learned? REMEMBER STEP 5!!!

Boiling processed meat like hotdogs is good, as it minimize the cancer risk. It is barbecue and grilling processed meats that cause cancer.

It’s much easier/better to have them completely submerged in a saucepan rather than a skillet IMO. They get a lot plumper and juicer.
