That's how we started out, we bought the animals then we figured it out! We learned from our mistakes and continue learning as we go. I enjoy watching you and your family do the same, keeping it real!!

I started with 2 steers years ago, put the biggest one in the freezer, overwintered and fed hay to the smaller one. Got a second third steer in the spring to keep tbe first one company and let the first one show him the ropes. Literally, show him how to rotate. Now I have dairy cows and a bull, and meat and milk products. Best of luck!

Homesteaders are an ingenious bunch, thrifty, try anything once, always learning and willing to make a few mistakes. It's a joy watching your land take shape.

The land looks so much better than when y'all first moved in. I think you have come a long way. Your steers look great, beautiful shiny coats, so they must be doing OK. Thanks for sharing with us and I know it helps those who are just starting and having similar issues. Have a Blessed day.

You had me laughing so hard. I saw myself in your challenges. Cattle before perimeter fence, TSC cheap stuff, daily challenges. Love you guys. Hang in there and keep doing awesome things!

Jason, you are doing an excellent job with your permaculture land management. I can't wait to see how your land improves from year to year. Great job and take care.♥️

The drone shot really helps you see where the land is coming back to good growth.

Your wife's decision to save those "sticks" was brilliant, AND, they look good around the trees.
