Correction: Malaysians consist of many races including Malay, Chinese, Indian, Punjabi, Iban, Kadazan, and many more. These races practice different religions and faith and this what makes us Malaysians.

The constitution did not say all Malaysians must be Muslim. It only says all MALAYS must be Muslims. As a matter of fact, the constitution also provides that other religions must be practiced in peace and harmony. Malay is an ethnicity or you can say a race and Malaysian is our nationality. Hope this clears up the misconception.
