I do believe I have a 1944 steel wheat penny. I thought it was silver but had it looked at and was told it was steel and not worth anything. I'm glad I looked at this video. I was a little skeptical at first, but now am convinced... I Scored!!!

I have a question, how do you get to sell one of these pennies at auction? Why is there such a disparity between selling on ebay vs selling in auction?

I think some people think that they will “get rich “ from this. That’s too bad because if you are a true collector, it’s the hobby that’s the real value to me: it’s just fun! I don’t expect to “get rich “ by collecting things I enjoy ❤

I have an issue with, 15K pennies with year on the side of the roll all of them are 30’s and 40’s in S, D, P mint marks. My pops was a coin collector mastermind. He collected gold coins with the money he made for pennies he sold for 2c. Back then. Now all of those are rare. I haven’t looked yet but I’m in need of direction. Some are bank rolls and some are circulated. I’ve started separating the years I think are worth more. Then brown and red versions I hope.
