It absolutely is the best retro console... The fact that you can change the language and it changes the Rom to those regions version of the game, box art included, is about the best thing ever.

Brought one home today, have to agree with you. It's slick, and plenty of fun to be had with it. Some screen tearing, but it's not game breaking in any way. My favorite nostalgia retro console yet. I hope the future brings more of exactly this.

These things are amusing for all of 5 seconds. It just isn't the same as it was 20-25 years ago.

Its just not the same. Of course we are 25-35 years older now so I cannot have the same experience like before, but the time is different, culture is different, we no longer sit on a floor and have bulky CRT TV, bunch of comics on the shelf and a poster of Schwarzenneger on a wall. Early 90s were truly special, without internet, without mobile phones. In todays time playing retro games is just not the same. Its missing the magic...

When I saw the controller, I was instantly reminded how awful mortal kombat 3 was on the genesis compared to the snes. There were only three face buttons so you had to push two of them together to emulate the missing ones. And the AI was dumb as rocks. My friend had the genesis one and the cpu would just stand there doing nothing most of the time. My friend thought he was good until we played the same game on the snes. Couldn't even beat a single opponent. It's like planet of the apes where that other astronaut gets a lobotomy and just stands around staring blankly.

Sega had some really good shooters on the mega drive and would have been allot better rather than tossing in mediocre titles US games.

The best one out there? The only one its competing against is the playstation classic. Nintendo has discontinued their classic consoles.

They should have kept the original controller ports, to give it that extra authenticity feel. And for kids today to understand what ports used to look like before USB was created.
