North East is ignored by center government since independence. It was supposed that entire North East to go to East Pakistan. It was Gopinath Bardoloi who saved this part. Being an Assamese I wrote seven books in Hindi on the states of this part. In those books I mentioned about Aahom आहोम kingdom.

I'm a Maharashtrian and grew up with the stories of the Brave Marathas. But because I've known so less about Other parts of the country it is so amazing to grow up and learn on my own that brave men and women have always protected this nation in so many ways. A lot of respect for the Ahom Dynasty. 💛

I Am from Assam and Lachit Borphukan has a famous line - " Dekhot Koi momai dangor nhoi"
which means His Uncle was not greater then the Country.

Literally, I think only 10% of Indians know about the Ahom Empire, their greatness and the fact that they were strong in their will rather than in their numbers. Thank you for showing it.
You forgot to mention that in the battle of saraighat, Lachit Borphukon gave the task to his maternal uncle to build a bridge in river Brahmaputra and his uncle failed to do it on time because he slept. Lachit beheaded his uncle saying, "Country is greater than my maternal uncle." Such was the dedication and love for his country and it still is for the entire northeast. Yet, our people get discriminated everywhere in India.

A heartfelt thanks for bringing this to light!

I feel proud of being an Ahom. And yes Ahom history is not included in our books. The Ahom dynasty has a massive history and yes the Ahoms have defeated the Mughals for 17 times. Lachit Barphukan was a national hero. There are many more valorous tales of the Ahoms and people should know about it. Our history should not be neglected as we are an integral part of India. Special love from Assam.♥️

I'm a history student from Assam.. before the Ahoms another dynasty called "Kingdom of Kamrup" of Assam (situated in Guwahati) also defeated Turko-Afghans (under Alauddin khalji Turko-Afghans had defeated the whole India to Kanyakumari) for 5 times without loosing a single battle...And those were very severe defeats

Ahoms, Dimasa, Garo, Khasi, Jaintia, Kuki, Naga, Bodo, Tripuri, Mizo, Manipuri, Cachar - there are so many tribes and languages - around 220. It is a treasure trove of India that not many people are aware of.
Please make a video on the Khasi Rebellion of king Tirot Sing, who resisted British rule in Meghalaya sacrificing his life in the process
