I am so happy that you made a video on Ahom dynasty. I spent few years in Assam as a kid and studied Assam history. I recall being in awe when I learned that Ahom empire senapati Lachit Borphukan defeated Aurangzeb’s army. Unfortunately, when I moved to other parts of India, this important part of history was not mentioned in any history book. My friends had no idea about this and did not believe that anyone ever defeated Mughals in India.

In Assam, I used to live near Saraighat bridge. It was such a proud moment to know that a brave army of Ahom defeated Mughals there.

Thanks to both of you for highlighting this prestigious moment of Ahom history.

I’m a Maharashtrian girl who knows and respects the Ahoms! So much so that in my first solo trip to Assam and Meghalaya, I visited the Ahom Capital, Sivasagar, just to understand this great kingdom more. While the architecture was strategically constructed, it was sad to see the sorry state of it, as well as less interested tourists who were mostly Assamese. Sadly, not many people knew about this historic place despite living in the state! @abhiandniyu, please do highlight the plight of our monuments in any future videos, you are the best source to create the awareness <3

I have just read a news about minimising the Mughal's unnecessary story in CBSE syllabus. Definitely, that history should be taught to a generation which brings a feeling of pride and self confidence not the one that parrots that you are weak. It has a great psychological impact.
