What are the best tires for your Tacoma? Have you lifted your truck or left it stock and are itching to upgrade from your stock tires? In this video I go over the pros and cons of the BFGoodrich KO2 265/75/r16 and the TRD Pro 16” Wheels… and I discuss why I chose them for my setup.

I agree going 265/75-16. I’m waiting on that size on the new KO3 to drop.

Nice! Totally agree with the tire size without any mods. I have a 2022 double cab SR5 been researching for good leveling kit (NON spacers), using the stock 16x7 rims that it came with. 265/75/16 is just right. Thanks for posting.

I also prefer more sidewall than rim, running same size tire on my '21 Tacoma OR. I wanted KO2s but went with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and so far they have not disappointed. My Taco is an every day driver and use on weekends to go out into the Nevada desert to shoot often. Winters have held up in Lake Tahoe and Utah snow even tho not 3 peak rated. Have 20k miles on them so far. Best of all I have a full-size spare under my truck bed. Your truck looks great keep up the channel 🤙🏼

I run 285/75/r17 KO2s on my long bed off road. I also installed a 2.5-inch old man emu lift all the way around. Love the setup on your truck.

Hello, thanks for the video. I also have K02's on my 18Tacoma Sport. I have the stock black/aluminum rims with these tires. I LOVE the LOOK. I LOVE the offroad capability (mind you I barely go offroad). I LOVE the capability of Snow with these tires. HOWEVER. I live on the West Coast and we get alot of rain here. These tires are NOT good in the RAIN. Seeing I drive onroad alot in the rain here, I'm dissapointed with these tires. I wish they would come out with an updated tire that is great everywhere PLUS rain. When I change them, I'm not sure I'll go back to K02's . . . . .

Toyo open country at3 for me, they seem to take a hell of a beating, many miles and never let me down, I will be buying them as long as they make them

Late to the party but thanks for the video. Just put 265/75r16 KO3's on my 2022 Tacoma, have the same wheels. Really happy with the tires and no rubbing.

Recently bought a set of GY Ultra Terrains 265/75/16 for my 2021 Off-road. Like them so far.

Nice job on keeping up on the clean wheel wells. Tire/rim combo looks great too.

Good choice! I got the same tire/wheels but I stuck with exact stock size 265/70/r16 with no lift. Doesn’t impact acceleration or speedometer so win win. Going an inch bigger makes sense for you since you have a lift. I don’t know about you but I do notice the KO2 I bad on wet pavement. That’s my only complaint.

Good choice. I had the falkens on my last tacoma and liked them. I went with yokohama geolander at 1" taller 32" on 2" level kit aftermarket bronze trail wheels. They stick out about 1" farther which I think is the perfect stance. Probably similar to yours. Never had the ko tires because I'm cheap.

Has any one been having issues with these tires..
I've used those tires on other vehicles..and I'm just not convinced they will withstand highway miles..
In fact I do not believe they are engineered for above 75mph.
Every time I start packing on highway miles the tires all apart...slipping belts, unevenware ..out of balance
Kind of sick of shelling out 1200 for 5 tire and they fall apart ...
I just got rid of the last Ford I will ever buy and now I'm all about Toyota tacoma and need to catch up...
And yes..those are just sexy tires..
Perhaps they will hold up on a mid size vehicle better then a full size...

Would love a comment or two...
My tacoma has factory lame rims...
Is it best to pick up Toyota factory rims..then after market..
Good video..has me on the fence with tire choice

Great video and awesome looking Taco. I have a 2005 PR Extd cab, installing a leveling kit, was recently quoted a Toyo AT III 275/70R/10 tires with a Method Rim. I was curious why a 275 and not a 265. I think I’d like a little bigger tire but I don’t want to deal with any rubbing and cut down. So I may ask to view the 2 different sizes on the vehicle. Thanks for the suggestion.
