Kafka is one of the best MC's. Kafka is definition of the normal, caring man who had big dreams. Life and circumstance made kafka want to quit his dreams and be content with his life, he would be happy doing it but deep down would remorse off of not doing more. During the test, instead of following convention and using strength to pass, he uses his head to provide unique skill sets in a supportive role. Granted he has that overwhelming strength because of his transformation, but it wasnt why he was selected to join as a cadet.

People really don't realize people in their 30s are literally like the 20s people with back problems

Kafka being 32 years old is very good as it adds onto the series' uniqueness. Manga artists always try to make their work different from others so that they can leave a mark on their readers, and even though not all ideas are ultimately implemented in their work, making a 32 year old MC is surely one that will make people remember Kaiju No. 8

What makes Kafka a great MC is the fact that he’s 32 and he still is a work in progress. He is not some kid who is afforded years of making mistakes and figuring out, Kafka at his age, and by Japan’s standards, a “lost cause” but he is also the perfect MC for kids to look up to bc he embodies perseverance, humility, and courage. And everyone, like myself who is 35 and still figuring out, relate to bc like him, I understand that it’s not the end for me. I can still dream to be someone one day

I think another realistic reason why people probably hate Kafka is because he also serves as a reminder for people who worked so hard to achieve something they were working towards their whole life but failed to achieve it and are stuck in a position they hate, but he could also be inspiring on the fact that he gave his dream a try again and got it as a way to say never give up and keep going and don’t let your opportunity pass

I feel like anyone complaining he doesn’t act his age has to be under the age of 30… let me tell you kiddos your inner child doesn’t unalive immediately on impact with the big 3-0. We still allowed to be goofy and have fun as adults who pay taxes and touch grass

His situation is no different in real life. Most of us who are in late 20's and early 30's experienced failures and while we see some of our colleagues achieves their dream. Add to the fact that we see some newer generations can do so much better than what we are doing.

Kafka represents a lot of us that are still trying to reach our dreams at an advanced age. He's a goofy guy who is optimistic and protective of those he loves, what's there to hate about that 😔.

One of my favorit mc ever, finally an MC with a real life background that viewers can rely to. On top of it, even if his power is completly crack broken he doesnt get cocky, still try to improve as a human, take care and is always worry about his friends, and recover slowly his main dream... Which give me goosebumps everytime!!

I don’t have an issue with Kafka, being older and feeling like you missed your chance/moment is very relatable in fact I see myself quite a bit. The military career heck even his actual on the job experience being overlooked because it isn’t flashy this anime is the overall male experience of todays young Americans hovering around that 30 year old range.

Kafka is basically Obito Uchiha 2.0:
-same face & hairstyle
-best friend with emo white hair guy
-weakling, failure & loud mouth at first
-became strong with God like powers
-his goal is to simp for his crush

Kafka is such a go getter and is such a real depiction of an adult. People love to think you turn 30 and bam you can't follow your dreams and that you have it all figured out but we don't! We still have so much to learn and I love Kafka for it!
