Capucine: 60 Second Bio

Capucine, born Germaine Hélène Irène Lefebvre on 6th January 1928, was a French actress and fashion model who captivated audiences with her elegance and charm. She initially pursued a career in modelling, gaining attention for her striking beauty and poise.
Her acting career took off when she was discovered by producer Charles K. Feldman, leading to her breakthrough role in the 1960 film "The Pink Panther", alongside Peter Sellers. Her performance as the enigmatic Simone Clouseau garnered widespread acclaim, and established her as an international star.
She appeared in numerous films, including "Song Without End", "North to Alaska", "The Lion", and "What's New Pussycat?", showcasing her versatility in both dramatic and comedic roles.
Despite her success in Hollywood, she struggled with personal demons, including depression. Tragically she took her own life in 1990 at the age of 62. Capucine's legacy lives on through her memorable performances and timeless beauty, forever remembered as one of cinema's iconic figures.
