Показать описание
While India experiences record economic growth and national prosperity, 100,000 children remain homeless and on the streets. Many seek shelter in the cities train stations, in particular Sealdah, in the heart of Calcutta. Runaways, orphans, children abandoned by their parents, simply too poor to care for their own, these children must fight to survive.

This was filmed more than 15 years ago, these kids must be grown men now. A follow up documentary would be much appreciated.
Why is this released now when it is time for follow up documentary?

Say a prayer for these children. And thank God for the blessings you have.

"Down in the dumps, can't define our our thoughts do"

No matter how poor they are, these joyful little souls find a way to smile.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I just look at my children 10 & 11 and can't even phantom the thought of them alone in the streets not even for 10 minutes !!! 🥺🥺💔💔

This is a thing of heartbreak and beauty. The priest giving his life to the poorest of the poor is a beautiful sight. Cutting toes, fixing wounds, cleaning ears, sleeping as the children dlerp, playing games, arranging treats, having a school. He's doing God's work I cried and smiled the whole way through.

What about the girls? I see the beautiful work of these people and yet I only saw the little girls at the station and not anywhere with others. Girls are second-class citizens in India and I weep for them.

We have to be helping whenever and wherever we can. Especially children.

That missionary is the man. That's God's work he's doing.

It is sad to think that this docu is from 2008 and nothing much has changed... While the rich in every country cannot decide what fancy ''nano'' food to eat every day that costs thousands of dollars per plate, there are people and children starving to death even in their own country, fighting to survive, fighting for some bread crumbs.
God, bless everyone that helps! 🙏

The Monk... is living the best life a man can on Earth. He will stand at the right hand of the Lord in eternity. Bless him and those like him.

this priest is an extraordinary person.
he "forgives but doesn't accept the situation", while most of us accept it, since we don't do anything to change it, but we don't forgive.
so much to learn in his words
