Never mind the fact that Jake just scared the living shit out of the Omaticaya, but Jake just accomplished something that has only happened five times before him. It’s not only rare for a Navi to become Toruk Makto, it’s nearly impossible for it to happen to an outsider. So, for Jake to have proven himself worthy of becoming the Omaticaya’s legendary warrior, it’s no wonder they were scared out of their mind. But it also makes perfect sense as to why they would suddenly start trusting him again after what happened with Hometree. And the ultimate sign of this was when Neytiri said, “I see you.” Before now, all she had seen in Jake was an outsider, someone who was trying to worm his way into the Clan to earn their trust. She developed feelings for him, and even loved him. And when that love was shattered by betrayal, she wondered why Eywa would choose this, and I have waited to use this word for so long, “scoun, ” for some unknown reason. But seeing Jake fly in on Toruk and officially become the legendary warrior of the Omaticaya, she finally saw him for who he really is, and why Eywa chose him. In fact, the whole Clan saw why Eywa chose him.
