Daily reminder to those who might mix the characters with their VAs.
They are a voice, not them.
Dont go around bashing other who main them like some did with Tighnari's mains during those...ugly times.

I kinda hate when people associate the character with the VA too much when shit like this happens 😭😭 like i saw people making jokes about tighnari being a pedophile, it's kinda disturbing if you ask me

To add some context: Niosi claimed that he apologized to his victims and they have forgiven him. However, some of the victims have come forward stating that they have not received the apology and have not forgiven him.

So, the lying might be one more reason why everyone is so heated about this situation.

For those who don’t know about Chris Niosi, Chris Niosi had been exposed for sexual and emotional abuse by many of his victims back in 2019. This is what caused him to get recast for his role as Byleth in Fire Emblem Three Houses (Zach Aguilar, VA for Aether in Genshin, is recast as Byleth from there).

Chris later confirmed the allegations in a tumblr post, and had not partaken in projects due to his damaged reputation.

The return of Niosi had come as a shock, especially since many fans who knew a little bit about the situation from FE3H were a bit hesitant to welcome him. He then later posted that he had “changed after going to therapy for 5 years” and that “his victims had forgiven him”. However, it was later revealed by the victims who had went public that Chris did not, in fact, reach out to them to apologize and change his behaviour.

The reason why Sunday’s VA was getting so much heat from all this was because his stance comes off as tone-deaf, saying that “it’s on the victims if they decide not to forgive him after he claimed to apologize” despite them being completely in the right if they choose to not forgive him after the stalking, groping, and sexual coercion that he forced upon his victims. Furthermore, because it blames the victim, how much more would other VAs protect and allow this behavior from other VAs who have done predatory and hurtful things like Elliot Gindi (former Tighnari VA, outed for being a predator towards minors) or Vic Mignogna? Heck, even Svarog’s EN VA was outed for being creepy towards minors while being in his 60’s. People like Kyle McCarley (not HSR VA, voices Alm/Soren in FE), Adin Rudd (SAM VA), among a few other VAs that have associations with him. The only person who has apologized about previous posts they did years back from not knowing about the situation was Alejandro Saab/CyYu because he wanted to give Chris the benefit of the doubt that he’d change.

Either way, the community particularly vocal about this doesn’t want to defend an abuser because they don’t want to see an abuser gain power to potentially abuse other people. It’s quite ironic though because Sunday is essentially a character who’s implied to have faced grooming and abuse at the hands of Gopher Wood through the ideals of the Order, and yet his VA comes out to defend an abuser that goes against Sunday’s ideals.

The worst part about Griffin's post was how he called SA victims unreasonable for not forgiving a person who potentially traumatizing them for life. It came off as extremely insensitive and tone deaf towards Chris' victims.

Also, that reddit post did nothing for Chris except make even more people aware of what he did. It was lowkey entertaining to see Griffin get cooked by the comments on that thread though.

I’ve given up on caring about voice actors I just play the damn game and if they make changes they make changes I don’t have the energy to hop on every hate train like a track star running hurdles
I wish people would stop diddling people who don’t wanna be played like string instruments so I can stop worrying about if a character I like is sharing the vocal chords with someone plucking a minor on a uke this shit’s exhausting

This is why you should keep quiet regarding a case like this lol
If you had just kept that to yourself, it wouldn't have happened, unintelligent to say the least

This is a hard one tbh, if we start to excuse such things then people will do it again knowing they can get away with it. Its like there are some things that are not excuseable and people need to think about that before they decide to do such things. Going trough a rehabilitation or other medical help wont save you but will make it possible to start over from down below and not from where u where.

I feel like the fact that Chris is the one who abused people is getting overshadowed by the hate for Griffin
