"Incompetence" and "unprofessionalism" are much more mature and educated than my two words for that mess: s*it show.

Beginning to think there is some red paint under the orange on the McLaren

Mclaren bottles Oscar’s win and then made Lando pay the price for it. Not a good look. Sad for Oscar. No one who just won their 1st race should be saying “sorry” on the radio

It's a shame Oscar's first win will be remembered with this unnecessary drama
Lando did nothing wrong
Mclaren somehow keep shooting themselves in the foot

It didn’t almost ruin his maiden win. McLarens strategy tarnished his first win. And made both drivers look bad.

Lando being subtly blackmailed over the radio to give up his position was very unprofessional from the team and hard to watch. They have a driver with a shot of winning the WDC and they just threw away 7 points to give what felt like a token win to Oscar. I’ve never seen a team make such a failure out of a 1-2 finish.

Poor Oscar. The team should’ve pitted him first and allow Lando to challenge him toward the end of the race. If Lando overtook them then fair play.

It was like watching a live episode of Drive to Survive.

Nico Rosberg made a good point in that, a) McLaren are not used to winning and b) his advice to Stella that need to give clear cut messaging. Took the sheen of a great 1-2 and Oscars first win.

Honestly, I was very disappointed in McLaren today. It took away from Oscar’s win so much. Honestly, they really need to learn better. Very disappointed from them.

As a McLaren fan, i was ashamed of the situation. Neither McLaren driver is to blame, Its the McLaren pitwall to blame for the whole drama… Just unprofessional, all could’ve been avoided with a 2 minute talk about this before the race
Happy for Oscar tho!!

Even on a 1-2 McLaren are dreadful on strategy. They should have just pitted PIA first, NOR the lap after, and let the both of them race. Instead we got monologues from the pit wall, convincing NOR—who widened the gap to PIA in the final stint and is in contention for the WDC—to give up P1. Both drivers have their merits on winning this race but we had to witness this farce because of a strategy blunder from the team

I wouldn't even say "almost." They absolutely did ruin Oscar's first win. This is easily gonna be the most controversial win this year unless someone pulls another abu dhabi 21

I still don't understand why they didn't pit Oscar first. They knew the undercut was super powerful. I think Lando could've gotten the win on merit if he came out of the pits in 2nd with around 20 to go

This guy’s content is actually PEAK. I love how reasonable and down to earth he is

McLaren needs to realize roles have changed. They were hunters, now they're the hunted. Lando is closest to Max in driver standings. There needs to be support for Lando to push for a title. Not a Lando fan, but he has tenure and has been loyal AF.

Literally any other team: lead car gets dibs on pit stops first.

McLaren: we prefer the unnecessary drama.

Yeah McLaren made it so ugly.

It was supposed to be beautiful.
