Its incredible to believe what these guys can do. I mean i can do 305 watts/ 4.25 w/kg for an hour- and run a 4 minute pace for 10k and these guys do it one after another at 4 times the length each after a 3.8km swim - amazing

Jan had prime form during covid, its a pity it rained this day because really wanted him to hit it out of the park, even further than he did. This was very progressive, noone thought a solo ironman could be interesting until his team thought it up. 🐐

Why his power is less than his competitor but he’s still faster? I have the same thing, I have lower power but still cycling same route with friends, even I use inexpensive road bike. Really curious about the science behind

Yeah be was sat behind a Mercedes for 4 hours. Of course it was fast 😂 still a great rider but to do those splits it needs a car. Or like Laidlow in Kona. 7 motorbikes next to you

That is extremely aero. I mean, thats nearly 25 mph. Thats not much power for 25 mph. I can do a 27 mph time trial, but keep in mind he is doing a damn iron man. My power is also much higher, at closer to 400.

the amount of doping is insane, you can’t possibly achieve an average of 45 for that much time. Not even pro cyclists can, and yet people believe these performances are legit. And somehow the get a marathon done in 2:30, yeah sure
