Weather makes a huge difference. 2007 was so difficult: not just the rain but the wind. 2011 was like an entirely different ride. Not a stroll in the park, but not nearly as difficult. At least for me. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Great video! Fixed gear, WOW! You make it sound possible, but I have a hard time getting my head around being on bike for that many hours.

What to wear during the PBP ride? I’m worried of the temperature. I’m from India and the lowest temperature I’ve ever ridden is 24C may be. How cold is the PBP route in august? Summer riding... yup I’m ready. Cold winter riding.... nope. I got no clue. Please share tips on what to wear.. how many layers... suggested brands.. and all the details. Thank you.
