Hi Eric. Thank you for making and sharing your experiences and thoughts! Your channel helps me with some of my mental preparation and what to be looking forward. I didn't put much attention to the technical parts (I ride a completely different bicycle anyway - you haven't mentioned any of those, have you?) but have you mentioned that glaring lights aren't allowed by French traffic law? Although not sanctioned it's a real hassle and I'd appreciate if at least your subscribers put the light on the road (where it belongs) and not in the eyes of oncoming randonneurs. Thanks again!

Yikes, I'm preregistered for 84hrs so this will be of concern to me. I wonder if it's feasable to find lodging further away and just ride 2+ hrs to Rambouillet... or ride there one day earlier and camp out at some park or something?

Thanks for these videos. Disappointing that pre-registration has filled up--I'm new to randonneuring and was holding out hope I might be able to do PBP this year.

You mention message boards... what are they? I've been looking for PBP and rando forums and haven't found too much.

Hi Eric, How was your 400 km ride? I will do mine next week in Amsterdam (Holland). I assume this will be the difficult ride, because in Holland everything is in preparation for the 90 hours group. The start is at 20 hours. So we have to ride into the night. That's the thing I want to avoid in P-B-P by starting in the 84hours group. Are you also starting in group X?
Kind regards, Xander.
