Niall is a good journalist, I enjoy the banter between him and Robby. No pushed agenda, just review of the facts from the liberal perspective. Good reasoning skills for Sir Niall

It's ok to swell the debt for war in some random country, but not for the American working class.

Trumps talk about tariff are a bargaining tool.. Other countries impose crazy tariffs on us. It's unfair and proposing a huge tariff is a way to get the other countries to the table. It's a way of bargaining back to something more fair to both sides.

Niall is so smart, well-prepared and understands (unlike Nomiki) how to facilitate a reasonable, productive conversation.

I watched the original interview. Really picked snippets to make trump look bad and then cut out all of the applause and cheers. Is this CBS?

As an independent, that interview (which I actually watched in full) convinced me to go Trump. Too bad they are mischaracterizing it.

It's refreshing to see a reasoned and intelligent discussion between two adults. Niall does a great job presenting a sane liberal perspective alongside Robbie. Keep it up!

I think both Robbie and Niall missed the point on tariffs. If we can’t get our goods into the EU, Japanese, and Chinese, as as other markets as easily as they can get into ours then yes tariffs! The government used to love using tariffs to fund itself, now it just loves the taxpayer. Bring government funding back to basics, funding from tariffs, property tax, and goods tax. Everything else is massively excessive! Idc if it makes the cost being pushed onto consumers Americans as a whole buy WAYYY TOO MUCH garbage anyways. Maybe people will be more careful on what they buy. I only see a plus side here.

Former President Donald Trump got in a heated exchange with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait on Tuesday when talking about tariffs — telling the journalist he’s been “wrong” his entire life.

Micklethwait repeatedly asked Trump at The Economic Club of Chicago how he would enact high tariffs on foreign companies without getting an economic blowback on the American consumer in exchange — as the current US economy is intertwined with China and the EU.
