One less reported but extremely useful fact about the F-16 is that provided they are not carrying outboard drop tanks they can each carry two Storm Shadow missiles (software integration delays notwithstanding) which means Ukraine now has significantly more cruise missile launching platforms which considering the SU-24 is becoming an endangered species is excellent news

The second missile on the F-16, appears to be an AIM-9 Sidewinder Air-to-Air short range (1-35km) missile, not an Air-to-Ground weapon. Keep up the great work you do. I pray for Ukraine regularly.

Its so crazy. The amount of patriotism i feel towards ukraine is absurd, i haven't even so much as stepped foot there. as a former ussr stan its wild to have an event shatter so much of my view of the world over the last century. Glory to the heros. Ukraine must prevail. For humanity.

Talking in broad daylight in close proximity to one of the most targeted technological assets requires courage, and also at confidence in the means of defense and protection. It's really good to see that Ukraine is quite capable, technically and morally, of showing that Ukrainians are still free to act as they please on their territory, that they are still at home in Ukraine despite the aggressions. This is a powerful message for all defenders of freedom.

It takes a long time to gradually bring a new aircraft system up to full capability, so it will take time to ramp up military successes, but I look forward to when Ukraine has more than a hundred F16's in a few years time and Russia would not dare to invade again.

BTW, I see Ukraine now has 2 gold medals at the Paris Olympics. Congratulations, and I hope it makes Ukrainians feel good that they can be a winning nation, and will one day win in Crimea and Donbas.

The hole is the barrel port of the rotary gatlin gun on the F16. We have had different versions of that helmet technically for decades, long ago

There is only one thing that I'll miss when(if) this brutal aggression and war of conquest finally ends, and that's Denys. Denys is a deep thinking, warm and humane person, who also happens to be a great analyst, excellent pilot and a brave patriot.

I know he is not in any danger from kinetic warfare on the front, yet whenever the latest update hits my notifications I always experience relief. As the first and best war Youtuber, Denys has become a significant resource for Ukraine.
