1. Select all the files and then go to Home and Copy Path. Paste into Excel and use Find & Replace (Ctrl + H) to remove the file path.
2. Copy file path into google chrome and then copy the list of files, size and date modified.
3. To get files in subfolders as well search for a full stop/ period which will find all the files and then copy the path into excel.

You've just saved me hours. I'm inventorying all the counted cross-stitch charts I've purchased, starting with the digital ones. I thought I was going to have to type every single file name. But then I thought, "Surely someone else has had to get a list of file names." And someone has. Thank you!

Thank you so much, no fuss, no muss, I'm caught outside of my home country, and I have a huge bunch of source files on a project that was too big to be uploaded and accessed from my hotel wifi, but with your method I was able to get my file names pulled out of entire folders while using remote desktop, was able to get my files renamed on my laptop and continue with work from abroad, thanks to you!

Brilliant. You ought to have a virtual tip jar. I'd happily toss in a fiver. You saved me and my assistant hours. Cheers.

I needed to find a way to track 3 years of file names in an excel format. you saved my sanity so I didn't have to type them. AND I appreciate that you get right to the steps, without going on about introductions, etc. Subscribed.

This was great. Well done. I was trying to sort a group of videos in a folder that were over a certain amount of minutes and I needed them to be in alphabetical order. This saved me a lot of time. Thanks.

Wow! I needed to find the files that have more than 250 characters because Windows has that limit for files to be copied. Min. 2:25 shows how to do it. Then I only have to put the formula =len(cell), eg: =len(B3) to see the number of characters of the file. Then, copy the formula all the way down to all your files/documents to see where are the little mosquitoes bugging that does not allow to copy the files. Thanks 👍✔. Very, very helpful video.
