Thank you so, so much for this. I have a Dell XPS 9560 and was able to dual boot with Windows 10 without any issues so far. This video was _exactly_ what I needed.

Everything worked it’s just weird how the boot manger in my bios doesn’t label the install as POP OS at all.
Just HDD1 it all works though :D
Any idea how to change that?

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Unfortunately, when I create the boot partition fat32 efi, it gives me an error (that prevents me to press on 'erase and install') : "efi Partition is not on a GPT disk". Any idea on how to solve it would be highly appreciated!

very nice video! still looking forward into using GRUB for dual-booting, but besides that, very intiuitive! i do have a question.. how and what do you use for virtualizing a dual-boot system in a vm? i tried doing it in virtualbox and it doesn't work. what vm program do you use? i would love to replicate that exact same thing as well.

As a begginer I'm worried about the windows not booting anymore. Also, how to set up that GRUB thing we have on Ubuntu?

Can you show how to install grub on the PopOS partition. It would be a lot easier with grub installed

Hi, while I was doing this ( I followed another tutorial ) I did a step wrong and even though I managed to install pop os, I ended up deleting windows efi. Is there any way for me to recover windows without reinstalling it?

What if you have a Windows EFI boot that is 500mb? I have not been able to get grub to play well with Pop_Os! even though I have windows boot and Pop_Os! boot in the same EFI partition. Let me rephrase that, I cant get it to work with UEFI. Works good if both are installed using legacy though. Just out of habit a long time ago, I got use to creating windows partitions with DISKPART before installing windows. So EFI on my machines are 500mb or larger.

First of all, Thank you so much for that clear explanation, but I have an error so please help me with that.
Once I click on "Modify Partitopns" in order to create the Pop-OS partitions, It keeps prompting " Libparted Warning. Not all of the space available to /dev/nvme0n1 appears to be used, you can fix the GPT to use all of the space (an extra 4544 blocks) or continue with the current settings?".
Then when I choose "Ignore", it keeps prompting many times. And then finally it says " An error occurred while applying the operations" !
I have HP Spectre x360 15t 2020!

I have a problem. When I press the check butting to allocate my first space where you did 65GB, it does the operation for about 10 seconds and then stops and I get 'An error occurred while applying the operation' and then it cancels out. I have tried multiple times and keep getting the same error that I cant make unallocated space. *Please help*. I really want to use Linux since I found my love for it from my laptops main OS but I can't do it on my SSD.
