Traditional Medicine: five areas of work of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM)

The World Health Organization will collaborate with all countries and WHO regions to focus on evidence and learning, data and analysis, sustainability and equity, and innovation and technology to harness the potential contribution of traditional medicine – supported by modern science and principles of diversity, equity and sustainability – for the health of people and the planet.

Just what the world needs right now. Adding value to the indigenous knowledge our people have on medicine will multiply solutions and make medicine even more affordable.

It would helpful to have a video showcasing proven practices, and one identifying pseudoscience and snake oil treatments.

So many practices may not cause harm, but they often delay people from getting real treatment.
