I… am a cult member of the largest cult in the world. In fact, I'm willing to bet that a decent amount of you are also in this cult as well. Take your phone out of your pocket. Is it a Samsung phone? Maybe it's an iPhone. Think about things that you commonly use. Some of the first items that might come to mind are your phone, maybe your laptop, maybe your earbuds. For some of you, they might all be the same brand. And if they are, it's probably none other than the biggest brand in the world, the cult of Tim Cook, the cult of Apple.

The only thing I like about Apple is the new M1/M2 chips which are pretty damn efficient and reasonably fast.
MacOS, iOS and most of Apple products simply suck in terms of value especially if you want a lot from it. It's however great for people who aren't really experienced in tech who are the opposite of tech-savvy. As we tech-savvy ppl want to customize the shit out of our OS, have support for anything and everything ( e.g. Like Windows/Android and somewhat Linux does ) and use the standard ecosystem which means no stupid "Lightning" ports etc. Apple screens don't even offer 144hz+ which is super lame, they're still behind with 60hz.

I wouldn't go so far and say that apple has "normalised" some things. I'm still using a head phone jack since i don't have to depend so much on battery life and I have better sound quality and less interferences; and I don't think that using a head phone jack is less "normal" nowadays.
And I don't think Apple knows what people want, actually Apple couldn't care less; only thing Apple wants is your money.

America also gave the world the GNU project... Which, added to a Finnish kernel, gave us Linux, which basically hands us access tp the internet. Giving in to fake status and marketing is such a waste of everyone's time and resources. Grow up and think for yourselves and actually do spmething useful with your resources.

The United States also didn’t grow because of consumption it grew because of mass investment. Such as investment in military industry during the world wars, and interstate construction to allow mass shipping.
