For anyone who doesn't know. Enigma is a horrible neurological disorder. That has become a reoccurring issue in the reptile community. It causes the afflicted reptile to suffer greatly in the way that they cannot hunt properly or fend for themselves and can sometimes even choke on their food. If left their own devices, my must be watched in very carefully taken care of, and these animals often live a very short life. Many will even have full epileptic episodes like the one she is showing us. They are painful to watch and dangerous to the critters themselves. Some breeders don't care and will continue breeding them knowing full well, that it causes a short for life expectancy, and some of them even view it as ensuring their business, knowing someone will come back for another reptile after the first one dies. This is why she said you should not support them because it's supporting animal cruelty.

No enigma leopard geckos, no trans bearded dragons and no spider ball pythons. I explicitly abhor people that breed these animals. I've owned 2 of the 3 in the past and nothing is worth the animals suffering. Even if you rescue or save them you're in for a lot of emotional heartache.

I have an Enigma, but got him not knowing it was a syndrome. I do not breed him, but I adopted him because nobody wanted him. His case is not as severe as most. He has a little trouble catching his food, but does pretty well. I agree, they should not be bred.

Awe, poor babes... I wish more people would consider the affects on quality of life over a pretty pattern. Thanks for caring for these little ones ❤

I wish people would explain why instead of just saying "don't do this" or "don't support this"
If you're going to make a video on it why not include at least a pinned comment about why it's bad

I am completely unknowing in ANYTHING reptile related. Can someone please explain this to me? I have heard one of my nephews ask his mother for one and I know she is thinking about it I would like to be able to inform her if this is a valid reason and not just I don't like this. Thanks in advance for any info and ty for all the videos I have learned so much from you. 🥰
