Fossil Hunting in the BADLANDS!

On this episode of Beyond Dinosaurs, Coyote and the crew head to Hill City, South Dakota, and team up with renowned paleontologist Peter Larson to explore the Badlands by hunting for fossils at a top-secret dig location! In Part 2 of their fossil adventure, the crew splits up to see if anyone can find the elusive Saber Tooth cat skull during their fossil hunting!

Man, that's got to be an amazing experience. Hunting for fossils in the badlands has always been one of my dreams. Heck, maybe someday I'll be able to do at as well, but in the meantime, it's really cool watching you guys do it, Coyote, Mark, and Mario. Thanks for giving us this awesome video!

It blows my mind how Pete can look at a little bone and tell them not only what it is but the Latin name for the animal too.

My favourite find is Marc's with the saber tooth tooth !

All three of those finds were really cool. I like that Coyote's had a story behind it, both his and the animal's (with his trip to get it and with the tooth mark from a Hyeanodon), and Mario's was also really cool and really big. In the end, I have to say I personally think that Mark's was the coolest. It was the only confirmed fossil of the day that came from a predator and even cooler, it was from an actual Saber Tooth. Congrats on the amazing find, Mark!
