How to fix You don't have any devices error on google play store

I am signing into google play store for the first time using my newly created email id. When i try to install apps from the computer, i am getting the message 'Loading device compatibility' and then getting the error 'You don't have any devices'.
Reason: You haven't accessed the Google Play Store app on your device with this email account. This error can appear when you're trying to install an Android app on: your computer (including Chromebooks), an Android mobile device that isn't linked to your Google Account and a non-compatible device.
Solution: you need to link your Android device to your Google Account. To begin, sign in to the Google Play Store app on your Android device and install any app. After you've installed an app, your device will be linked to your Google Account. Within a few minutes, you should be able to install apps to your device using your computer.

I had disabled Google Play Store app years ago and the 'no device' error message appears. Today I went to the settings of my Android phone, click 'apps', swipe to the right for the 'Disabled' column and enable Play Store. Problem solved.

It says You don't have any devices but clearly I have at least one device! The one I am using to access the website. It is a Huawei running Android.

You can't install an app because you have no devices, so you install an app to fix this problem????

Doesn't work. I'm signed in on both my computer and my phone. I've downloaded an app (like you said), I've trying clearing the Google Play Store cache, data, rebooting the phone, etc. I've done every single damn thing every guide on the Internet says and nothing — I repeat NOTHING — works in the end. No matter what, the Google Play Store says I have no device when using my PC, and I don't think there's any reliable way to fix that.

This doesnt help. I am trying to install an app on my computer, not on a "device". I dont understand why it should be so hard to install a app that is required by hulu to run liveTV on my computer. I got the same error message, I went to the google play store site and I dont see anywhere where I can associate this computer with my account. WTF, why is this so friggen hard?? Its 2017, this is google. Is it seriously not possible to install GooglePlay on my friggen

ok 1 thing that "EVERYBODY" that give these kind of tutorials fails to say its u "must" go on your google account in your computer then go to > data & personalization > "web & app activity" if this is off then turn it on, then go to google play (still from your computer) > settings > then check "show in menus", this is what must be done after the steps from this video!

For what it is worth if anything I got mine to work. A few months ago I was racking my brain with this for a while. Came back today to see if there was anything new online for a solution. Saw some people suggest going to the App section of my Note. Sorry not a techi and I was just trying anything to play with settings so do not remember how it went. I think Google Play Story Disable/Force stop were grey. Maybe I enabled that. I did a restart. I then tried to update some random app already on my phone and it took me to the Google Play page. The line You dont have any devices was still there but this time there was a Green button at the bottom that said OPEN IN PLAY STORE APP. I clicked on it and was finally able to get it to work today. Miracle sadly. I hope this helps someone.

Trying to download an Android app on a Chromebook... and my account is signed into that Chromebook, and there's no devices. There is no install button to make a first download.
