Invasive PLANTS are a problem too.
But some are good, like watermelon, mangos, tomatoes, oranges, avocados, papayas.
BTW, did you know that Hawaii had no mosquitos until 1826 ?
Mosquitos came here on the ship Wellington (from San Blas Mexico), and became established in Lahaina first.
