I can see in the comments people anxious about the large number of people.. masjid al haram is a sanctuary. As a Muslim I know as soon as I've entered into the haram I need to be extra careful not to do any wrong even pushing someone out the way. We all remind each other of patience. So Hence millions of people can gather knowing it's a sanctuary. The one place in the world where rich poor all skin colours and ethnicities are wearing the same clothes. Theres no way to tell who's a millionaire and who's poor. The black person stands next to the white one shoulder to shoulder humbled before their Lord.

This guy is the most hard working creator I've seen on youtube and I'm obsessed with youtube. He's got like 10 channels and he puts long well-produced videos out for each of them every week. Madness.

The Grand Mosque of Mecca is truly awe inspiring, a spectacular vision to behold.
Also please make a video on the Holy City of Medina which is also a vast, breathtaking and profound place to visit.

To my non Muslim,
Those who think we worship that black square cube, are completely wrong. That black cube is only a symbol of direction, that we all muslims bow down to. It could be of any space and size.

May Allah SWT guide those who reverted to Islam, to the true teaching of Islam and being an obedient Muslim, will grant them and all the Ummah with a place in Jannah.
Aamiin..

It would be much appreciated if you could remove the picture of Hagar and Ismael. Hagar picture is also very inappropriate. Muslims dislike degradation of holy figures. We hold them in a very high respect and will never portray them in any paintings, moreover in a very inappropriate one.

🕋It's also mentioned in the Bible in Psalms 84:3-6 ( ...my King and my God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah .Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca...) and in the Quran: { Surely the first Home laid down for mankind was indeed at Bakkah, (Another name of Makkah) a blessed (place) and a guidance to the worlds.} Translation of the meanings of Quran the last and final revelation from Allah the creator of all. (3:96). Scholars say it was first built by Adam (peace be upon him) and the rebuilt by Abraham (peace be upon him) .

- actually, there have been darker periods in its history: Umayyad forces assaulted the city in 683, during which a catapult strike shattered the Black Stone, while Qarmatians actually took it away for 23 years, in 930
- the Saudi expansions not only destroyed Ottoman-era structures but even historical sites from the very 1st generation of Islam
- the Saudi royal family's private skyscrapers have effectively restricted the further expansion of the mosque in that direction

And [mention] when We made the House [i.e., the Kaʿbah] a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform ṭawāf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]." [2:125]

And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits - whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." [Allah] said, "And whoever disbelieves - I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination." [2:126]

And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, you are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. [2:127]

I am from Makkah, my ancestors were all from Makkah and we've lived near Masjid Al Haram in Misfala and Bat'ha Quraysh for about 1500 years.

I think going through the ancient history of the Haram you missed a few key moments like when the Kaaba was destroyed, when the black stone was stolen then returned, and didn't cover Juhaiman's story through multiple lenses.

There's also commending action from King Abdulaziz, the founder of Saudi Arabia, who unified prayer time, as Maliki, Hanafi, Hanbali, and Shafii Muslims all had different corners and prayed under different imams. This was ended in the era of King Abdulaziz, and it was decreed that prayer in Makkah would be unified.

The truth is that there are many accounts, and we don't know exactly what happened during the siege. But this was a lot more than a group of people trying to overthrow the government. This was a group claiming to have found the Mahdi, a figure signaling that the antichrist and Christ himself are now among us. This was dangerously threatening to the entire world, not just Saudi Arabia.

Also Hajj stampedes were common every year. I had picked out bodies myself when volunteering in 2006 and 2007. This was because many would come to Makkah illegally and would come in numbers Makkah could not handle, and this is why Saudi Arabia has become a lot more strict with Hajj permits, offering it for free but in limited numbers to control the crowds.

And a final point: Muslims generally do not approve of pictures or illustrations of religious figures, including Hagar. We would greatly appreciate if you don't use Eurocentric paintings to depict religious figures in the context of Islam.
