None of these cameras are budget, at least not to me, if you have plenty of money and your daily camera costs about 3000 bucks, yeah sure its budget. i would think that a camera that costs around 150-350 dollars is budget and suitable to a beginner that just want to start out and maybe later upgrade to a camera that cost 1000 bucks.

I have the G7X mark 3 and it’s a nice camera, but it has a 15 minute recording session, meaning every 15 minutes it stops recording. It’s pretty annoying but it is nice

I think the Nikon Z30 seems like great value. I prefer the more natural-looking colours to the highly saturated ones on Canon products. The Nikon seems like a very well-built camera however the only negative seems to be the choice of lens is limited. I think Nikon has really struggled here and is playing catch-up. It will be very interesting to see if Panasonic brings out a compact watered-down version of the GH6. I think there is probably a much bigger market for better value cameras in this segment as not everyone can afford thousands at least at the offset. I suspect with a recession looming and all the high inflation we will eventually at some point get a lot of bargains in perhaps 18 to 36 months' time from now when demand falls due to high unemployment and layoffs.
