Denzel Washington Reacts To Will Smith Comparisons

Denzel Washington has become increasingly involved behind-the-scenes over the past decade, producing several films and even wearing the director hat. His latest directorial work is for the upcoming holiday film, A Journal for Jordan, starring Michael B. Jordan and Chante Adams.

The veteran actor spoke to us about directing the holiday film, his upcoming project with his son, and weighed in on the Will Smith comparisons.

Who has been "comparing" Denzel to Will Smith stop it. They are in their own lanes and are amazing in their own right. No worries on Damson, whomever didn't know him - does now. I first noticed Mr. Washington in Chicago. I was watching channel 11. The educational channel. My father ask me . Who are you watching.? You never watch the educational channel this long. I said “ Dad ; look at him” . My father said “ who is that” . I said “ Dad I don’t know “ I said if you have a brain. He appeals to you. I did not even know his name. I was 18. 1978. The rest is history……. I pray the next Dark Gable has the on screen integrity and depth of Mr. Washington. Live long and prosper my brother
