Love the style. Understand why Ford went with the mustang name. This is a winner in my opinion and something that I can’t wait to drive. Wish it was just a tad bit cheaper and that it had a heat pump (since I live in the Midwest)

Couple things you're not considering when comparing to a model y. With the Ford dealer network is much easier to purchase and service a Mach e than the Tesla. I would think, at least in my case, 90% or more of the charging would be done at home so the fast charger network isn't that big of a deal. And I would think over the next several years the charging network is only going to get better. For me, Mach e it is! Tesla dealer is over 100 miles away, Ford shop is less than 10. I'll be ordering one in the next few days! Premium, AWD, extended battery, carbonized Gray, black interior

This is the next car I will buy. All ready looked at what the insurance cost. Going to go with EAWD and extended range glass roof.

The "Mustang" name attached to this vehicle confused me at first. The more I've thought about it, it's genius. Ford doesn't really care about people that would only buy a gas powered Mustang, or what they think about the name. Ford is going for a different type of buyer. The "Mustang" name allowed Ford to throw in some heritage Mustang styling cues and take advantage of name impact. Very smart.

Mustang extended hood, mustang front lights, mustang rear haunches, mustang-like (fast back) sloping rear roof line since your eye follows the paint, mustang tri-taillights. The styling cues make it enough of a mustang for me; its one gorgeous mustang and I bet it will turn a lot of heads and get a lot of questions as you drive around town. Inside, you are exactly right: Other than the ponies here and there, its more like looking into the future, rather than looking into the past. Can't wait for mine to be delivered. And yes, it is faster than your dad's mustang, 3.5 sec 0-60 in the GT Performance. 4.8 sec 0-60 in the Premium extended range, AWD. Should bring a smile to the most ardent gas gear head.
Excellent presentation, easy and clean to follow you through the video.

I think the mustang electric is a far better looking car then anything Tesla produces.

Sounds like he said, "From 8-track to satellite radio...". This must be a Boss Mustang circa 1972, LOL!! (yes, in retrospect he must've said "HVAC" but it still made me rewind.)

Yea you popped that hood off camera so that people don't note it is still a pull handle with no feature on the remote.

“Looking at a lot of plastic” ... what materials do you prefer?

Actually Tesla is using a different equation to predict mileage ranges. When they say its range is 330 miles, it’s less than 300 miles based on Ford’s more conservative equation, I heard on YouTube car review videos. There are lots of YouTube videos proving the Mach E can drive much longer than their specified range while the Tesla Y drives much shorter. The YouTube tests show they are quite comparable in terms of driving ranges.

UK model doesn't seem to come with glass roof :(....I hope that changes.

The Mach E is going to be a hit! I am waiting for ownership reviews and comments.

I would prefer more buttons and an iDrive-type interface over the touch screen. And the drive modes should be called trot, canter, and gallop. But I still love it.

Anything that looks like this, has instantaneous electric power, and over 266 horsepower and gobs of torque would be considered to be a performance oriented vehicle. HELLO-WHOOOAAAA!!!

This is gonna be my next car. I've waited for a special crossover EV for a while, I've never bought or driven a Ford, but this is what I want! I test drive one yesterday and I was very impressed. I'm saying this from owning 3 other electric vehicles too.

Amy the charging keep in mind ideally you have memberships for EVGO so it doesn't cost that much. And I try not to charge at a day charger if I'm above 50%. It's not needed. You'll get used to charging habits like these for road trips.

I don’t care what people say. It makes sense what Ford did to market it as a mustang after watching this interview. It looks amazing!

You do realize the car you tested had the Extended Range battery, not the Standard Range? That's what the X on the doors means.

Loved it so much, we have a GT on order.

I think this vehicle looks surprisingly almost nondescript on the road. I've seen a few and they just look like CUV coupes with Mustang rear lights. Maybe I need to see them in something other than black or gray but they didn't pop.

It does seem a lot of people are impressed with them and that's good. The "Mustang" thing is a gimmick. Sorry. The interior is modern enough though I wish it departed some from the electric vehicle styling trend look.

The Mustang is the official Tesla killer of 2021.

It was another brutal day on Wall Street for Tesla shares that stayed in the red for most of the day until a "Hail Mary" pass was thrown to pump the shares back up. After reaching out to a 40 year investor we were told, " Tesla was bleeding cash and on life support for the longest time. They had to raise money in a hurry, and needed to raise as much as possible, and as quick as possible. To do this, the shares are pumped as high as they can possibly go. Then more shares are sold into the market at this highly inflated price. Billions are raised, and soon after, the share price begins to retreat back to reality. That's just the way it goes." When asked about their "flying cars" their "hover cars", and cars that can go from 0 to 60 in under a second we were told, " What good is a car that can go from 0 to 60 in under a second when the car in front of you can't. Flying cars? Show me. It's BUZZ to create excitement. It's a pipe dream to keep the bag holders in check so that they can hold onto Tesla shares tightly as they tank down to reality. Go to one of their product launches so that you can hear 100 or so people scattered throughout the room chanting at the smallest reveal. Do you not think that they are paid plants invited to create this excitement?"

We don't know how low shares of Tesla will go, but we do know that the competition ( Ford ) has introduced some very exciting cars that are selling like hot cakes while thousands of Tesla cars are parked on lots with no buyers in site. It appears that Tesla has all of a sudden become "Old Hat"!!
