No matter what Ford wanted to name it, I think they have a winner there. Build quality looks light years ahead of Tesla. My only concern is the problematic CCS charging network, especially in the midwest USA. Granted, most folks will charge at home, but I would like to see a more robust charging infrastruction like Tesla with their superchargers.

Great review with spot on evaluation, this Mach E combines just the right amount of conventionalism and new technology. Plus it looks great and is very well designed inside and out. This car will stimulate sales of all EV's by bringing them into the mass market.

I didn't "want an interior that reminded me of my old gas car." I wanted a vehicle that could function as well or better than my old gas car and not break the bank. So basically I need to road trip sometimes and as a car guy I didn't want a slow golf cart that is ugly and pathetic. That's why I bought a Tesla. Hopefully the MachE Mustang will be have decent charging infrastructure and trip planning function on the highway trips like VW's diesel-gate charging network.

Thank you for making this video, and thank you for keeping it real (especially as a millennial ICE auto enthusiast). I am SO VERY TIRED of Tesla fanboys trashing anything not made by Tesla. I drove the Mach E at a local dealership, and ordered one. I would never hate my money enough to buy any Tesla product. I DO give them props for bringing EVs into the spotlight, and I do think they committed the proper amount of resources to their charging network. But I also understand that 95% of EV drivers will charge 99% of the time at home. My ICE vehicle has a full tank range of 247 miles, at 19 miles per gallon. I have no range anxiety whatsoever driving an EV. And I suspect you are correct: Ford will sell more EVs than Tesla just as soon as they are available to buy -

Hell no I would never pick a pc over a Mac. What you been smoking, first you have to give the mustang a year on the road and see what problems going to turn up, the Tesla is the safest car in the world hands down. With the tax rebates the Tesla long range is a better bargain
