twenty years ago, I was at the beach listening to some music, and a young black couple with 4 or 5 years old boy where near. The man was making fun of the boy walking straight. He got up and started to illustrate to the boy how to limp and swing side to side.
This image of an adult black guy damaging the future of a young innocent boy still disturbs me. We have had enough time to guid the new generation to excellence rather than identity of losers, such as diamond stud earrings for men.

I'm interested to take this analysis and check out the old Gandhi film to see how they worked this format with that icon. In Nepal, people I know found him more of a problematic person but I now can't tell if I was surrounded by liberals/centrists and so fairly anti-radical anything. Hard to tell. I think I was among the established and safe mostly. I really admired a communist regional director I worked for but he got transferred to a remote post (nobody gets fired, just remoted). I want to go back and redo now that I know there are so many more principled people than anyone I was with.
