Connecting school and home: Creative Language Projects

In this talk as part of the Technology in Language Teaching (TILT) webinar series hosted by independent languages consultant from the UK, Joe Dale, organised by the Association for Language Learning and supported by Linguascope, Dr Judith Rifeser, a faculty member of Goldsmiths, University of London, Educational Studies demonstrates how film can be used to promote primary and secondary languages, whether viewed at home or in the classroom. She shows how straightforward it can be to set worthwhile tasks, and how parents can work alongside their children quite easily from home. All films shown are available on the internet.

She is passionate about language learning and cultural studies, in particular Practice-as-Research and the use of film and other authentic resources for teaching and learning.
