I love it when subtitles say “we” but there’s usually a poor, lone SOB doing all the digging.

These should remind us why we should never go to war again and why we should not let politicians dictate . If they want to fight put them in a ring and hurt each other not the rest of us who want to live in peace together.

Man you gave me a mini heart attack when you took the butt of the axe to those rounds...

This is really cool. I love that people are out there uncovering history before it completely disappears. And let's not pretend this isn't a dangerous job. What with all the landmines that are STILL around from WWI and WWII all around the world.

I really appreciate the way you dig. I've watched so many videos where people just dig in a very chaotic and not functional way :) My father taught me as a child how to dig in snow and in soil, so when people aren't organize I almost can't look. Keep up the good work!

The kettel of Demjansk was the place were the "Frikorps Danmark" had their first contact with the Red Army. Their famous leader C.F Von Schalburg was killed here in 1942 when he stormed against the enemy. He later had a unit of Scandinavian volunteers named after him (Schalburg korpset). Frikorps Danmark was later renamed into Division Nordland and they where among the last SS units in Berlin in 1945. Rest in peace to all killed, no matter under which flag.

I enjoyed when you hit the shell primer with your axe. It has explosive potential for shizzle.

Thank you for the random subtitles. Otherwise we'd have no clue. Great stuff!

Another tour de force of meticulous, delicate, archeology...

My guess you could get a good price for that ammo can. Normally they are pretty cheap but the fact it came from a hole where people were killed or did the killing probably makes it more desirable.

There didn't seem much attempt to preserve the archeology or integrity of the surroundings, just random spade work and "if it's fastened, break it open!", seemed to be their motto. But interesting to watch all the same.

That Mg34/42 box was worth a lot of money. I hope y'all were able to squeeze every bit of value out of it.
