A Mumbai restaurant with a Michelin Star! And that too for an all vegetarian one - I'm taking you with me to Avatara, world's first one-Michelin Star Vegetarian restaurant. Started in Dubai and has recently opened its Mumbai outlet as well. A luxurious all vegetarian 14 course meal and that too with no paneer! A vegetarian's delight! Truly.
I recently visited the brand new restaurant Avatara, this is a well-established Michelin-starred restaurant from Dubai which has recently set its foot in “Amchi Mumbai”. And their remarkable 14-course degustation menu has made a revolutionary change in Bombay’s food scene. That is because this exquisite restaurant is a Pure VEGETARIAN establishment, and their meals are without GARLIC & ONION. Despite being a vegetarian restaurant, they have also replaced the quintessential vegetarian ingredients like Paneer and Mushroom with healthier & unique veggies. Instead, the chefs have ingeniously transformed vegetables such as bitter gourd, turnip, parsnip, and broccoli into masterpieces that leave a tantalizing flavour on your tongue. But they say “You first eat with your eyes” which remains true throughout the course as they are presented in extremely captivating ways. These delightful dishes take you to every part of India by recreating dishes & specialities from all over the country. You’ll notice Bihar’s Litti chokha, Maharashtra’s Tambda Pandhra Rassa, Uttarakhand’s Bal Mithai and so many dishes with a culinary twist to them. But what sets them apart is their dedication to authenticity and tradition. The menu is elegantly written in Sanskrit, which pays homage to India's cultural heritage. Each of the fourteen courses presents a new and surprising flavor profile, making the meal a sensory adventure. The visual treat also extends to the beautiful aqua & white indoors, as it makes for such a soothing environment to dine in.
All these things, make dining at Avatara more than just a meal, it moreover feels like an immersive experience that celebrates the diversity and depth of Indian cuisine. Particularly for those who are looking for a Pure Veg fining dining restaurant with vegan, or Jain options in Mumbai, Avatara is the choice.
For an unparalleled experience that would be both memorable and transformative, step into the world of Five star dining with me in this video…

It means that food is not only to fill our tummy but to understand the values of each ingredient. Every bite one should eat as a Prasad. Each and every item from the menu is elaborately explained with the right sequence. Very Satwik, healthy and nourishing. This doesn't fulfill only the body requirement, but helps to purify our soul also. Apart from the food and the cutlery, crockery and way of serving given an ultra modern touch. An incomparable combo of Traditional food with a blissful ambience. Stay blessed, fit and healthy.

Beautiful video and a feast to the eyes!
The way the food was presented reminded me of Trésind, but I was surprised to know the rates of this is much lesser than that of Trésind
So tell me something, if you had to choose between the two restaurants which would you prefer?
I wouldn't be surprised if you choose to give this question a pass though 😁

Avatara Dubai is a Michelin star and it has opened its branch in Mumbai, that doesn't mean that Mumbai Avatara is a Michelin star.
These French(Michelin inspectors)give stars to the restaurants run by Indians abroad eg. "Avatara"- Dubai, "Junoon" -New York. On what basis are they given Michelin star? I mean I'm curious, are they well aware of our Indian cuisines? To give the Michelin stars they have to check the consistency of the Indian dishes. So how do they decide how to give stars to the Indian restaurants or the restaurants that serve Indian food also. Confused😕 😕 Now if they've tried Indian cuisines abroad then why restaurants in India do not get Michelin guide? 🤔 🤔
