Tommy by all accounts doesnt care if people will lie to him, he knows and they get punished. Here with Grace, saying "so dont lie to me" is showing vulnerability and the very important detail of him caring. Why did he care? And its as if he will be hurt or ferl betrayed if she lies or continous to lie. Then again, they were not lovers here yet, just 2 strangers really.

I loved these two season one and I recall watching maybe season two or three and he was with some horse lady and then I lost interest. I know this show is still beloved but for me the quality went down or something for me to just lose interest. What am I missing?
